Any assistance identifying this item, which appears to be a 19th century envelope cut square, would be much appreciated.

Russia 8 kopeek.

The postmark (1 - 14 on our calendar - August 1876(?)) ends in -yebsk'. It might be Vityebsk, now in Belarus.
