A 21-year-old man was arrested in the fatal shooting of Indianapolis postal worker. Angela Summers, 45, was delivering mail along her route when she was shot by an upset customer on Monday. She was gunned down on Monday while she delivered mail.

On Tuesday, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department arrested Tony Cushingberry, 21, for what it said was his "alleged involvement in the death of Angela Summers." There was an issue with the dogs at that residence. He had been given three warning letters and, on the third one, service to the home was curtailed. Mail had been blocked from his home on North Denny Street for about two weeks, which requiring the people at that home to pick up their mail instead, according to a local letter carrier union representative.

Summers went out of her way to personally connect with the folks on her route reportedly turning down advancement opportunities to stay on her route. She leaves behind a fourteen year old daughter.

Please do something nice for your letter carrier today in her honor.
