Following up on my post on how to dispose of auction catalogs - thank you all for your responses - I also have a number of philatelic books that have been very helpful, but are now on my disposal list. Nothing special - I'm sure the philatelic libraries have all these, but I'll check with them. Any other suggestions on the best place to sell them? Maybe I'll deal with some of the less expensive ones with a giveaway here.
Yes, offer them here! I am seeking Tiffany's History of United States Postage Stamps and Schueren United States 1869 Issue: An Essay Proof History and Hicks United States Internal Revenue Tax Paid Stamps Printed on Tin Foil and Paper Tobacco Wrappers.
Sorry, Molokai, don't have those particular titles. As I said above, nothing special and not a large selection. I've posted a giveaway of some of the more recognizable titles in the Contests, Quizzes and Giveaways section.
Oracle: don't assume that the philatelic libraries have all the books you're looking to dispose. Even if they do, having a second or third copy available for loan may be helpful. Finally, if they have, for example, five copies already of "book X," they could sell your donated copy, which helps the library that you choose.
