On November 3, 1958 French Polynesia issued a set of four "Paintings and Professions" airmail stamps. The 13 F value, shown here, depicts a young craftsman using a bench pin as support for his mother-of-pearl engraving.

Shemma is a cotton cloth used in Ethiopia to made women's traditional garments. Here is a set issued by Ethiopia on March 15, 1979 depicting the traditional Shemma work:

A very colorful and attractive set of 16 stamps shows the life in the city of Ghadames was issued by Libya on September 30, 1995. Five of them show traditional artisans:
