Just a guess but this item was probably originally sold as #639 in Dutch Country's May auction for $230;

639 Collection unused (100s) 1890s-1971, mounted in Harris Liberty album, incl Bureaus, Columbians to 15, #290, 325-6, Wash/Frank w/ coils, 551/72, 581//90, some Kans-Nebr, 692-701, 730-1, 735, 750-1, 803-34, 839-51, 1030-53, C1, C2, C3 NH, C6 NH, C18 & little other BOB, cond mixed, most sound, some NG, DG, glazed gum, Avg to VF, gen F-VF EST 150-200 A

With 54 bids and 18 hours it will probably go higher, that's why I recommend buying from the auction house.

How do I take the stamp out of this mount? Is it easy? Will the stamp be damaged when I do so?

Some of the older stamps also appear damaged.

Which one?

This stamp is already damaged. Missing or stubby perfs UR and UL and a stain lower center (above "CE").

To remove carefully pull off the page by holding on to the mount as close as possible to the page. Page will likely become damaged or thinned. After removal from page carefully cut open with scissors and use your tongs to remove. Very tedious to do for hundreds of stamps.

After removing the mount from the album, you have to cut each mount open with a scissors? That's tedious and probably must be done with a lot of care not to cut the stamp inside. Am I missing something about this process?

The mounts are horror from the "good old days." The only thing you are missing is the experience. Pavstamps has a loyal following and the collection price will be high. What is lurking on the reverse of the stamps?

If you have the long pointy tongs, slip one point in behind the stamp and cut the mount where it's creased at the top.

How about this one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/US-much-MI...LH_Auction=1

The mounts look more tradition but some mint stamps are hinged which is not good. Problem with this collection is that there are a lot of cancelled stamps. Or no? What do you think about this one?

This one looks good too: https://www.sunphilate.com/image/j14ub.html
