My Minkus album contains spaces for six 1948 parcel post stamps in it's China - Northeastern Provinces pages. These stamps are Minkus catalog Nos. 81 to 86 (see photo of the Minkus catalog listing). Minkus describes the stamps as Republic of China Scott Nos. Q1 to Q6 with 5 additional characters. Minkus includes a note that "Parcel Post stamps are not sold unused." and gives no pricing for any of the stamps.

These six stamps are not listed in the Scott catalog.

Typically, when I've run into similar situations, I'll find a note in Scott's that stamps were printed but never issued, minor paper varieties exist that were not assigned a number, etc. This time, I find no mention whatsoever regarding these stamps in Scotts.

Any China experts out there who can educate me regarding these Northeastern Provinces issues and how I might fill these spaces?

I believe the statement not sold unused applies to the last stamp in your scan the overprinted $50,000 on $5,000,000, it is not $500,000 on $5,000,000. Maybe someone can confirm that .

Additional info - the stamps in question are also listed in Stanley Gibbons. I found the following in a SG catalog from 1998 -

So, listed in both Minkus and Stanley Gibbons', but not in Scott. Given the pricing shown in the SG listing, I probably won't be looking for these in the here future, but if I do, I such probably contact a dealer who sells by SG number.

The Minkus number 87 is Scott Q1 for the northeast provinces. What is interesting is that the free stamp album from the Chinese Stamp Society doesn't include the other stamps on their Northeastern China Provinces pages, just Scott Q1.
