Being based in Europe (Catalonia) and very European-minded, I like them and have got just two on cover:

I'm, even thinking on doing a little trip to Andorra (3 hours from my home) to pick and circulate to me the two Europe stamps issued for that country.

Thoroughly enjoyed that, thank you.

We can go even further back, circa 2300 B.C.
With expeditions beyond the first cataract, into Nubian Territory and the land of Pwnt (PUNT) currently the Somali Coast

The correspondence between his captain and King Harkhuf regarding bringing back a "dancing dwarf" aroused such interest, Harkhuf caused the letter to be inscribed in full, on the fašade of his tomb.
