I put them under red led spectrum lighting
Moving it around I don't see varnish
So took pictures With and without a flash
Thinking the contrast would show a glimpse of something
But I don't see it
I also tried changing the filters on my phone to see
Nothing
Will Black light or uvb will either help me see it?

No, probably not. It can be frustrating and it is not unheard of for these issues to not have the varnish. Have you looked while dipped in fluid?

Keep in mind that Scott is not even close to being a specialized catalogue. For older issues of many (most, all?) countries you're not going to see a lot of information for perf varieties, shades, etc.

And the process of identifying some stamps will put you through your paces. I've been working on my Austria accumulation recently and there are some early issues that had varnish as well. Much of the time it's easy to identify the ones with varnish bars, but there have been some where I'm just not sure.

I'll have to get another catalogue I guess
And one for Austria as well, when I take that journey

Not 117a since the surcharge is not upside down. 117.

I tried every lighting source I have
All different possessions
I'm probably just not seeing it cause I've never done it before
So I drove to a couple places today to get
New catalogues again
No luck
I'll try a few more tomorrow
