Hoping for your assistance on opinions of validity. I think it's a #8 and that it's real. Thanks in advance

It is a forgery.Wrong letter shapes. No slant in the top 'STATI PARMA'.Overall thin letters..

The original stamp also shows a lot more fine engraved detail in the background of the fleur de lis, as well as the outer field behind the crown.

The background behind the fleur de lis should be made of fine, distinct horizontal lines, while the field around the crown is hatched vertical and horizontal lines. In both cases, the individual engraved lines should be visible. Both backgrounds on this stamp just look like smudges.

Both of Floortrader's stamps are highly likely forgeries. Would have to see them a closer-upper.

Scott doesn't even price Parma #8 in unused condition. That would suggest it's a very, very rare stamp, and that would also suggest this isn't real.

Not sure if this one is real, either, but you can see much greater detail.
