I don't know if they need to provide funds directly to the post office, just remove the stipulation that they need to prefund the pension and health care benefits for 75 years. No other company in America has to do that.
The postal service because of its mandate to serve the last mile for all citizens is an institution that binds us all together. It treats all of us whether we live in high rises in big cities or farmhouses on the prairies as equals.

Peter - What happened to no political stuff? Linn's has a bureau dedicated to postal affairs. How is this political? This is really getting to be absolutely absurd. A-B-S-U-R-D.
