Just found this as I was sorting my used US stamps yesterday.

These are not uncommon - do not know exactly about this one since the picture is pretty bad and I can not tell the Scott #

This is not my area of expertise, but this flaw was of no surprise to me. I have seen similar miscuts. Do I have one in my amateur collection? NO.

Searching eBay for the phrase, "Stanley Steamer 2132 miscut" resulted in photographs of a few similar stamps.

Perhaps others will chime in with expertise. By the way, what is the plate number on the stamp? I cannot make it out in the image.

It is clearly a #2 (edited to add which means it has to be a 2132 and not a 2132b), The 17c Auto is the PNC that is most often seen with the whole number in top with the 1c Omnibus probably taking second place, so the 12c isn't the most common, buy it is hardly rare.

My apologies to Petert4522 for missing your post. Also, I should have included a disclaimer in my post. I do not intend to endorse or advertise any particular retailers. I referenced that particular auction site out of convenience.

I think all agree, it is not rare. Yet, I appreciate seeing these samples.

Thanks for the input, I did see the miscuts on eBay, but they are all MNH. I thought there might be a premium for a used copy and couldn't find any out there.
