There were instances of forgers not only producing copies of stamps that did exist, but also creating things that might have existed.

There were tons of forged early Japanese stamps produced for sale to tourists.

Before obtaining more albums have you attempted to remove the stamps from the pages you already have on hand? When you do so please report the results of the endeavor.

You mean there really are albums for FORGERIES ? I'm jk.. Have improved success removing stuck stamps by focusing on taking bits of page off the stamp instead of stamp off the page .
