can someone explain to me why this stamp

was sold on eBay for 500$, and others US Abraham Lincoln 4 Cent Stamp are put for sale for much less?

This item appears to have sold with a "Best Offer" bid. When this is done, eBay only shows the original offer price, not what was actually offered and executed. For all we know, someone could have offered $0.01 and it was accepted.
