Special edition of a 2020 Canadian (P) 12 stamps booklet offered to employees of Post-Canada called Thanks-Merci. Not available for over the counter sales, there is no bare code for this product. Tagging: a vertical bar only on the right side. Lowe-Martin self-adhesive (P) issue. Pollux.

Pollux...It is too early to get info on the tagging. Could it be the tagging was shifted..???...Just an opinion. See below... Robert |

Difficult to say wert, my opinion is that there is no mistake. If there is a print offset for the tagging then the left side strip is missing. I accept the idea of only one bar per stamp unless someone can check on another booklet. |

Pollux - please show a full booklet pane under UV which would show if the tagging is off-set. |

Robert, definately exclude the Winnipeg tag, it is a general tag. It wont flouresce after the uv light is turned off.
G2aR- is a tag error, a tag shift.
It definetly resembles a G2cR, but that is classed under "tagging errors" that is missing bars according to the adminware site.
If memory serves me correct, aren't prestamped canadian envelopes purchased at the PO, similar in having that style tagging? Maybe, this is a new G1 type tag we have not seen previously.

If i'm not mistaking, thers is about 68,000 employes at Post-Canada and if we take as granted that each employes received two booklets, there must be roughfly 136,000 booklets. |

The message to Postmasters indicated that some may have received materials, including the employee packages, prior to November 16th with instructions that everything was to be maintained under lock and key until distribution on December 2nd.
Obviously, the booklets were printed prior to November 16th, but as the distribution to employees was officially December 2nd, would that latter date be deemed the date of issue of this stamp? |
