Can you take a clear picture of back, or better yet scan it and crop the excess, showing the perfin orintated so the letters can be read. Then we can identify company perfin, or whether it is a small or large O.H.M.S. issue.
Just because it is a perfin does not necessarily make it worth more. It does appear damaged at top left. As Chasa says it depends on many variables.
The image IS rather blurry isn't it? But it looks to me to be GWL, and checking the BNAPS perfin handbook online shows it to be Great Western Life Insurance Co and/or Great-West Life Assurance Co.
You'll need to check the Addendum on the website to determine which it is.
