There more interesting situation could be when you buy a stamp at a premium and then the dealer uses a the same stamp as postage on the envelope.

angore, I had to laugh when I read your comment. That would be a bit of a slap in the face but on the other hand I guess you could look at it as getting a MNH and and a used example as a bonus.

My comment was about the same stamp as purchased and the bipolar nature of selling / mailing modern stamps.
