It's from the British colony of Victoria that is now part of Australia.

Wow! that is a doozy.
who does these sorts of things ?
That would look great alongside the original.


The Vignette was copied from the coin, known as the "Bun Penny"
for obvious reasons.

The original was the 5/- blue on yellow (SG 139) issued on 26.12.1867.
The blue with red writing was first issued on 8.10.1868, (SG 140) followed by several varieties.
A later version was issued in red with blue writing Victoria Postage Five Shillings on 5.7.1901 (SG 398)

Never seen the blue on yellow, apart from Catalogue.
Not at auction also.

i don't have a catalogue on this, but stampworld lists this stamp as having a watermark.

mine doesn't so I assume it's a fake and that it isn't stampworld who have registered it wrong.

The genuine stamp should have a V over Crown watermark and be perf 13.
