Assumption made for vat?
Isn't there exceptions for certain items?

You need to be clear about what you're discussing. Where are you based? Which countries are you selling to? Exactly what charges is eBay adding? Do you pay charges, or does the customer?

Idaho, US
New (and will apply to everybody) eBay finance includes a third party entity, irs compliance (ssn, or other id) 1099s etc...
The overseas stuff is all new to me.
Seems like to much like a biz vrs ?
The buyer pays all of these and is subtracted from our sale thru our banking connection.
My wife is in the finance banking biz and said check with your cpa.

update;

eBay process so far; sold 9.99$ the amount that is in processing is 8.37$ and showed about 10 mins after buyer paid (not bad so far) the notice file had the 1.62$ as fee disbursed to eBay.
the tax collected by eBay isn't part of the processing for the etf that is heading to the bank acct.
they do notice that the transfer will occur 1-26-2021 (again not bad)
curious to see the fed tracking in on the acct from the 3rd party.
so------far----so---------good
