Hi Friends.

I am working some of my stamps - practicing identification. can you confirm I have this correct:) Check my work. I have a TON of German stamps - and it looks like these will not be easy.

There's a feature on my website that will help you in IDing anything up to 1945.

Go to the Search the Collection page on my website.

The table has filters that allow you to quickly ID the stamp. For example, here I entered "red" for the color and "1 Gr" for the face value.

The catalog numbers are in a column, but without the identifiers (Michel, Scott, etc). To see which catalog numbers are which, click Details.

Thank you - yes the shades are tough for me. I am working up to that :). These two for example:

1. Germany SC #31
2. Germany SC #39

One looks darker to me like Carmine or red and the second looks Rose - however they are both categorized as Rose....
