This stamp, by StampWorld, has 10-11.5 perf. To me, it looks like perf 14. Couldn't find it in simplified SG and Scott 2014. Any idea? What year and Cat. number is it?

What site are you using? It appears unreliable. I'll stick with Scott 2014, vol 4: |

Can you look up image AP81 and tell me what you see? I misunderstood my catalog, the leading stamp is perf 14, and the 3 variations are perf 11.
Designs: Sc, Guerrero, Acapulco watertront, 1 Oc. Oaxaca, dance. 20c. Chiapas. musicians (Mayan). 25c. Michoacan, masks. 30c, Cuauhtemoc. 35c. Guerrero, view of Taxco. 40c, San Luis Potosi, head. SOc Chia· pas, bas-reliet profile, Mayan culture. 80c, Mexico C11y University Stadium. Sp, Oueretaro. architecture. 10p, Miguel Hidalgo. 20p,
I think I understand now: Scott doesn't show the design, only mentions it by name. |

Turkey also can get tricky, esp with opts. Persevere, it gets better.
China, students should get au faix with "types" that can help enormously.

Rob Roy, just to understand you are assuming your example to be C265? I don't see perf 14 in your image- the gague lines start over perf tips at far right, then shift over to the center of the perfs as you move the eye to the left.
To me, it has to be C265a, b, or c. The postmark appears to be in 1963- if so then it can only be C265a or b since both were issued in 1963. C265c was issued in 1972. You could always check the size for type I or II to help clarify things.
Let me know if I misundertood. |

shermae, if you look at the top perforation, the left half, it fits the 14 perf (the stamp was bent a bit so the right side rose from the paper and didn't give a good measurement). As for the date - stamps C265, C265a, C265b were all issued in 1963, and only C265 was issued with perf. 14. |
