Scott 152 Size ? Help

The situation is as follows I deal with US stamps of the 19th century and then going through the collection I noticed an oddity with one of the stamps
This is a stamp from the Scott 152 catalog, I have two of them, in general, 1870, that is, large banknote stamps. If someone collects them, they understand.
And I look at them and suddenly notice that they are different in size measured 100 times in height it definitely should not be.
Compared with all the stamps of the so-called large series of banknotes of 1870-1888. It is smaller in size, but just like the size of the 1861 series, etc

When I see stamp with tighter than normal margins, I suspect reperfing. In this case, I immediately noticed the bottom row of perfs on the left stamp - they are not parallel to the image, but "jump up" halfway across.

I believe the OP is referencing the difference in design size, not the difference in stamp size. To me, the design heights of the two pictured stamps look close enough that any very small difference could perhaps be explained by unequal vertical shrinkage rates over time. Just guessing; not an expert for sure.

Good point, I latched onto something else, rather than the original poster's question.

Measuring carefully, the image size of the stamp on the left is both shorter AND wider than the stamp on the right. This would indicate the two stamps were printed with the paper rotated 90 degrees from each other.

Reperfing (re-perfing), is fraudulently adding a new set of perforations to improve the appearance or identification of a stamp.

Hello, I posted the same thing on many forums there are people who offer $ 750 for this brand . The question is whether to sell ?

If I am understanding correctly, selling a reperforated stamp for $750 as a 'variety' is unethical and is misrepresenting the stamp.
