I sent you a reply, it was a single company name for the reasons explained above.
Censorship is a strong word and often used in relationship with the press. The owner of this forum has previously been burned by a handful of companies and has chosen to not support them. As consumers we all make decisions on who we choose to support. There is no 'free speech' issue, this is not a press outlet. It is a hobby forum and which companies it decides to support remains the choice of its owner.
The 'lack of explanation' is as follows. There are a handful of names that are disallowed and the owner does not want to support; it make NO sense to turn around and list those names. And in fact whenever a disallowed name is posted the automated message does indeed provide an explanation. It reads,
Quote:
Sorry, You are trying to post something that is prohibited.
This could be, but not limited to, a website or service that has spammed us in the past or is not family friendly.
Important: It's actually sad that we have to say this but unfortunately we do. This does not mean it's ok to come up with a way around the block. It's not ok to give exact words to search on Google, misspell it, or come up with any other way to get around the block. Any attempt to get around this block could, and most likely will, result in immediate banning from the forum.
So in my opinion this was not a case of 'censorship' nor was there 'a lack of explanation'.
