The only used multiples of current US stamps are the cut pieces from imperforate press sheets, and pairs from booklet press sheets.

6 more no-die-cut press sheets have been announced for May & June. The USPS has placed a limit of 5 sheets per order. As I recall, similar limits had little impact during 2015-16. It seems the USPS thinks that repeating history might produce different results.

I'm fairly sure I read about the 6 new no-die-cut press sheets in a recent Linn's. In any event they are:
(1) Star Wars Droids (May 4)
(2) Heritage Breeds (May 17)
(3) Go For Broke (Japanese American soldiers in WW II) (June 3)
(4) Emilio Sanchez (June 10)
(5) Sun Science (June 18)
(6) Yogi Berra (June 24)
Added: You can find this info on page 20 of the May 3 Linn's.

What is the most successful way to order if they can't be preordered and USPS can't be reached on the phone? Do they sell out instantly to fill th3csts,p subscriptions? Or is the best way to call first thing in the morning? Or mail in an order a week in advance?

I think I'll try two ways since the dealers who corner the market now want 15 times face value for some sheets.

Personally, I'm glad to see it. I don't collect U.S., but these items will go well as postage on large envelopes, to mix in with all of those old commemoratives.

Same here as I hope to use some on mailings as well, but last time I did this (with the Civil War 150th imperfs) a few mailings were returned to me by the USPS as postage due with a statement saying they were just "pictures of stamps". Hopefully they educate their clerks and other mail handlers about these issues so that doesn't happen again. I really don't want to have to drive down to the post office and wait in line just to have to explain to a window clerk that, yes, they're real stamps.

Artful, when I use such stamps (imperfs) on my philatelic mailings, it is always a case that I take the envelope/package to the postal clerk, and I always ask for them to postmark the item.

I have found the postal clerks to be generally courteous and cooperative, even when they question my stamps and math. Last week, a clerk believed that my $1.00 stamps were 1c stamps...until he looked at them with his magnifier.

I'll probably end up doing that, I just gnash my teeth even thinking of going to a window clerk at my local PO. I don't think I've ever been there when there wasn't a slow-moving line of people at least a dozen deep. It's gotten about as bad as going to the DMV.

Star Wars imperf press sheets (no die cuts) went on sale this morning at 8am. Looks like they sold out before 9am. The clerk on the phone says they are going to list some more imperf press sheets on the web site usps.com So far I haven't seen any on the site.

577608 StarWars Droids sold in panes of 4 for $44/ea (USPS Philatelic brochure was wrong)
Sold out in just over an hour.
Never made it to the USPS website.
Was on hold for 40 minutes just to get 3 press sheets (not stockpiling like my brother who got 2 max orders placed successfully).

CSR said they didn't expect this level of demand and had 15-20 on the phones and said the standing order program for no die cut press sheets would be fulfilled.

A friend called at 8:05 AM to place his order. He was placed on hold for the better part of an hour, only to eventually be told that the issue had sold out.
The USPS should have taken notes back in 2015-16 when they ran into similar problems. There are solutions. Double the number of NDC sheets produced and/or market individual NDC panes. Either move should reduce dealer demand for this product. Another possibility would be to start a subscription service for NDC sheets/panes, thereby perhaps ensuring that individual collectors can actually obtain these stamps without needing to venture onto the secondary market.
