The uncut press sheet of the 2021 Lunar New Year contains 12 different stamps, all denominated at $2.71 (international rate). The "Year of the Monkey" stamp has been reported with a "squiggle" variety (right stamp in image below). Based on a few contacts, so far it seems the squiggle is the more plentiful variety. Looking for verification of both varieties... Thanks! Robin Harris Editor, Unitrade

Talk about a monkey with a "hair out of place". Will check my sheets when they arrive next week. |

Quick followup: First, it appears (from scattered reports) that the "no flaw" is less common than the "with flaw". Second, the uncut press sheet has a date and time printed at the bottom of the sheet. There are TWO different times, and they seem to match up with the flaw/no flaw printings: Do the times reflect when a printing run was sent to press, or the time the 'plate' was generated for the different print runs? Don't know. Robin Harris Editor, Unitrade |

If everyone who purchased an Uncut Press Sheet reports the time stamp and whether or not the flaw exists we could possibly determine when the flaw began and ended. Then an approximate number of "flaws" could be determined assuming that it was a continuous run of the 8,000 sheets produced. I'll enter my info once my single sheet arrives in the mail. |

Robin. Did you notice the white dot or spot about the middle, but below the black lower outline line on the right side? Monkeys left side. Or is that just a paper or dust speck? Its on Pollux image too.

Mike: sorry, not seeing what you are describing.
BlackJag: I have heard of reports of about 40 sheets - only two different times have been noted.

Well I received mine. Unfortunately all 5 are same time showing 3:53:18 PM and show the hair strand. And that white spot I mentioned above is almost non existant on my sheet. So it appears the hair/squiggly line showed up later. I notice that the sheets are unnumbered. Cuts nicely at bottom of each row into three panes to put into album in three pieces. May have to cut off large color bars only on left side so they will not be too long. |

Got mine today, ordered Jan 26. Sheet is a 3:53:18 and has the hair squiggle. It would seem the "no-squiggle" sheet is more rare, based on this forum. |
