Good one KuoLC5310,
I must go back and see whether I incorrectly thought this series started in 2014, or that there was an earlier issue and then a gap.
I just have one question about this thread.: Isn't it just an 'Engraved Spanish Stamps' thread?
Real Casa de la Moneda - Fábrica Nacional de Moneda y Timbre prints the stamps. RCM-FNMT is a company, not a person. They employ engravers but do not announce who actually engraved the stamps as they consider it a team effort. (If A gets the coffee, B has the time to engrave, so A and B did it.)
Edit. My error. It started in 2010. |

NSK: Your statement is correct. RCM-FNMT no longer list the names of individual engravers, partly because its modern chalcography process no longer relies solely on traditional manual engraving. Also, a combination of chalcography and offset is often used in stamp production, such as this 2006 Saint Francisco de Javier stamp engraved by Alfredo de Oro Sanz. |
