That church (Iglesia de San Francisco Javier) has an interesting claim to fame.

There is a Gothic church in Barcelona, Santa María del Mar. Ildefonso Falcones published his novel 'Catedral del Mar' (Cathedral of the Sea) in 2006. It is centred around the construction of Santa María del Mar. This novel was adapted for TV.

When visiting Cáceres, the church had a pinkish colour. The guide explained it had been painted that colour for the filming of the TV adaptation of the novel 'Catedral del Mar,' not long before I visited the city. According to the guide, the church you see in the TV series is not the Gothic church in Barcelona but this Baroque one in Cáceres.
