Hello stamp collector's. I am a stamp collector who is wanting to learn more about stamps. How to identify, how to value, how to store, and most recently trying to obtain my MPP to make my own cachets, but that is going to take a little work. Thank you for allowing me to join. Have a great day!

LizzardLilly.

You have come to the right forum to learn about stamps. There are a lot of knowledgeable and helpful people here!

I was born and raised in Wisconsin. Now I'm a Michigander. In addition to stamps, I also collect postmarks and meters from Wisconsin, Michigan and Illinois.

When you get to 50 posts and if you are interested in branching out to postmarks and meters, let me know.

Dan

Experienced stamps need a home too. I'd rather have an example that is imperfect than no example.
I collect for enjoyment, not investment.

LizzardLilly,

Collecting for the enjoyment of collecting, whatever that might be, is the name of the game. Don't hesitate to ask questions especially if you need basic information and especially more advanced sources of information for any possible topic. You should be able to find folks on this board a little further along on their collecting journey glad to share experiences. Russ

Welcome. There have been many like you and will be many more. Some words of advice.
1. Try to make clear and specific thread titles. (most of us get better at it.) See #2
2. Use the search function link at the top of each page. The site uses the Google search funtion that you will see. It is wonderful. Many of your questions will have been asked and answered in the past. For your threads going forward, with good thread titles, they will be easier to find in the search at later dates.
