On March 31, 2010 the USA issued this 44c stamp (Sc #4445) honoring cartoonist and caricaturist William Henry "Bill" Mauldin (1921-2003).

From USPS, "Mauldin developed his uncanny talent for making pointed statements in cartoon form while serving as a soldier in World War II. His characters Willie and Joe, two unshaven infantrymen, gave readers a refreshing look look at military life for the average soldier...After the war, Mauldin's cartoons attacked racism and other targets. 'I was a born troublemaker and might as well make a living at it', Mauldin wrote in his autobiography, The Brass Ring."

On November 4, 2010 Ireland issued its annual Christmas stamps as a set of 3. Two of the stamps are the traditional type with water-activated gum. These two stamps show details of stained glass windows from churches in Roscommon. The 55c domestic letter rate stamp, shown here, depicts the Holy Family. This design was also used on one of Ireland's 2010 "Post & Go" computer-vended stamps.
