I used the search function eight ways to Sunday and did not find anything current thread wise about the free franks of wives of Presidents in or after holding office [For regulations see
https://www.stampcommunity.org/topi...PIC_ID=23358 ]. Same with the plus a nickel covers which refer to a postage due penalty of five cents in addition to the other postage due in effect only during the 31 days of July 1958 on domestic mail matter.
So here is a new thread to correct that lack of information in both areas. For those who think postal history needs stamps to be on a stamp forum this thread will have some stamped items. Show one topic or the other and
of course both together would be best.

Yeah, like those exist...
One Final Request:
So others can search this later for examples please label your posted items --
For the penalty covers use, "Plus a nickel" as they are generally known.
As to the First Ladies and Widows...
Name of wife, e.g. Anna Eleanor Roosevelt; with the proper attribute, first lady or widow.
Or at least the last name, e.g Roosevelt; with attribute.
Now I will start and put search information below the image as a live example.

Widow Anna Eleanor Roosevelt
