Hello all,

This came from the "Steele Box" that I have (see other posts for more info or my introductions found here... https://www.coincommunity.com/forum...718#3395290.

The card was from Lovell Manufacturing Co who was attempting to get the tow of Newton, NJ to buy their product for electrifying the town. There are other letters and covers that are from other manufactures trying to get the business as well. I will be adding those to the Cover section or somewhere else if they do not have a cover.

What I like about the back of this card is the "Niagra" Motors & Dynamo graphic. I also like it because it's the age of electrifying and lighting up towns across the country.

Enjoy.... and please feel free to share any feedback that you may have.

Thanks,

---Mark

Another wonderful card! Postal cards were a preferred form of advertising from day one and all sorts of businesses and industry used them (postal cards).

The card shown appears to be a UX9 (UPSS S8) printed probably by Daggett based on the date in the CDS. Advertising was added by a local printer. Address only on the front was a postal regulation for many years.
