Rod.
Beautiful selection of TB stamps and seals. Again, material not often displayed.
On a personal note, as a collector of philatelic literature, continue to be surprised at the breadth of speciality publications offered across the years by John Barefoot. Am fortunate that a number of his slim, yellow volumes sit on the bookshelves of my stamp room. |

Hi Jim, I share your affection for Philatelic Literature, to a point now, I often outlay for, in preference to stamps. I find it exciting to find information not shown in the major catalogues, by authors spending their lives in just one discipline.
I have John Barefoot's Commonwealth Revenues, (used often) and Barefoot Romania Revenues (Early type with poor paper and binding) Oh! and Barefoot Great Britain Revenues.
I desperately want a Japanese Revenue Catalogue, just too shy to outlay circa $150

Quote: I desperately want a Japanese Revenue Catalogue, just too shy to outlay circa $150 Rod, Who makes the Japanese Revenue Catalog? If it's a Japanese publisher, I can check some of my local bookstores here in Okinawa to see if they have one much cheaper than you could probably get one outside of Japan. |

Quote: You missed one in the TB stamps. A cracker John ! Love the Blue Arrow..very professional. Curious..How would the 1 santimi exist like that? Typography, missed when they took an plate proof / imprimatur? Postmaster: I'll take you up on that, I'll send some cover images off forum. Get a quote and I'll paypal you immediately, with an "inconvenience fee" I think Shimomura" is the best catalogue, but I'll do some research. Thank you very much for offering. Postmaster I'll take this one by our SCF member "Hironobu" PleaseUnsure if it is Biligual, as long as the Headings of the Issues are. (Similar to the Sakura Catalogue regime) |

Rod, it was an error switching the 1(2) sant. cliche for the 2(4) sant. one. 344 copies made it into collector's hands before the post office found out and destroyed the remaining 203 copies. Some do exist on covers. There was one offered some 25 years ago for $3000US at the time. The strip of 3 I showed used to be in my collection but I sold it to a Latvian collector in Australia some years back. |

Oh! Right, John. I hadn't considered cliches in the plate. Thank you. So it came down under |
