Hello fellow collectors...

The franking on the left I recognize but is the one on the right one that was ever used or just a cheap attempt to make a regular Austrian stamp more valuable?

Any thoughts welcome :-)

Not frank but kreuzer. They look like common austrian stamps , used from Triest

Thanks vayolene, yes indeed they are in Kreuzer, 'franking' is an old term for cancellations.

The one on the left I had seen before but never the cancellation on the right and I wondered if it was a legitimate one or simply and old and poor forgery.

Thanks gmot! I have some of the one on the left but not the right. I hadn't seen the one on the right so was wondering if it was legit. If you have several then it must be I just haven't seen it :-)
