Hi there

I'm a complete novice to anything stamp related, in lockdown I started looking at an old case of stamps which we have in the family, we got them at an auction when I was a kid and I haven't really paid much attention to them in 40 years, but I started to take a look and caught a bit of a bug. There are literally hundreds of stamps from 1850's onwards. I've attached an example, I think it's from Lombardy.

I started looking up the stamps online but to be honest I realised very quickly I'm out of my depth.

I understand why philately is so enjoyable though a bit of poor eyesight on my part makes identification a challenge!

I'd like to upload some of the stamps and would appreciate some feedback please.

Any help appreciated

Thanks all

Does appear to be Lombardy & Venetia. Usually at the end of the Austria section in the Scott catalog. I don't have my catalog in front of me at the moment. I don't see any pictures online that are imperforate. There are also quite a few references to forgeries.

Well, it looks like Lombardy-Venetia Scott # 11 with perfs trimmed off, or a cut-out from wrapper or postal stationary. I am not an expert. Best guess only.
