Likely so labeled by the owner due to the weak inking (freak) in areas. Now the image is not sharp enough to see if that is due to abrasion of the stamp surface after printing.

This is definitely abraded, looking at the top, right and bottom margins. So, an unfortunately damaged offset printing. It then doesn't fit FIDO or the stamp world's EFO definitions. It's good for a reference item for #530, though, if you can trust that the identification points haven't been wiped out by abrasion..

It's called Fido because Spot was already taken. As has been stated already, it's a dog.
