Hi all,

Just received this in a recently acquired dealer lot, with "error?" scrawled on the envelope. The stamp is usually green, as seen on the left, but the item in question is the set of Syracuse precancels on the right.

Is this a changeling? An error? A freak? No idea - perhaps someone can shed some light? Thanks!

Yes.

The slather of glue on the wrapper paper and under the stamps is the first suspect.
