Here is your chance to own one or both of the rarest philatelic items in the world. Note that your bank account will need a minimum of 7 figures - more likely 8 - in order to bid. That lets me out.

But THINK OF THE FUN YOU'LL HAVE BIDDING WITH THE REALLY BIG BOYS.....

Yes but it also requires the coupon holder to get both the Inverted Jenny plate # block as well as the 1933 Double Eagle.

The marketing intent of the Groupon is to get a stamp collector to collect coins or a coin collector to collect stamps.

The star of the sale was the unique 1933 Double Eagle which went at $18,872,250.00 well over the high estimate of $15M.

So the score:
Coin $18.9M
Stamps $13.8M (Both stamp lots going for under low estimate by $1.833M)

See: http://goscf.com/t/77634 for a SCF thread on the new Stanley Gibbons 1 cent Magenta.

Based upon the results I am liquidating my "Poultry on Stamps" topical Gold Medal exhibit and acquiring coins with the proceeds. Perhaps start with rolls of Abe Lincoln quarters.
