Hello,

I recently ordered an album from nolastampshop. After a couple of days I called to see when the order might ship, but I got a voicemail, so I sent an email instead. Still no response, but I am not panicked, yet.

Anyone have any thoughts or opinions on nolastampshop? Hoping to hear the good news!

I haven't dealt with Nola in a few months, but all my dealings with them have been excellent.

I've done business with them before. They may be tough to get ahold of but they'll deliver.

I placed a couple orders with them last year and had no issues with their communication or service.

My last e-mail question to them a couple months ago received a same day reply.

Was the album something from Amos/Scott that is not normally kept in stock by them (which is pretty much their entire product line)? When I ordered parts 1-3 of the Scott Austria album it took a little under two weeks from order to delivery, including the time to print and ship from Amos.

I ordered a DAVO DDR album, so I don't know if that is obscure or what. But the good news, I got an email today with the shipping information. So where the communication could have been a bit better, at least it shipped!

When the album arrives, I will reply again with my thoughts. I don't want anyone to get the wrong impression about the vendor.

Should they have sent an immediate reply saying, "We have no idea at all, but will get back to you when we have a clue." Would that have satisfied you? I think not.

You ordered an item from a US based company which needs to obtain items from a foreign location which may have different pandemic status that you are experiencing locally. See, to me their communication was just fine. Next time just wait a couple of more hours. As is said, patience is a virtue; especially given the area you wish to collect. How long did the DDR wait for the wall to come down?

I ordered 3 packs of the "SAFE" stock pages that match my Specialty albums. I ordered 2 Specialty style and 1 National style by mistake. NOLA noticed this and wrote me and asked if I'd made a mistake and I was able to get all 3 the way I wanted them. I really appreciated this attention to detail and have used them every chance I get since then.

This seems par for the course for philatelic supply industry. For NoLa, I have placed orders and then hear nothing at all for a full week (even though they charge payment immediately), but eventually receive shipment notice. Also have had same experience with Amos and sometimes with Wizard. I've definitely been spoiled by Amazon and by most eBay sellers.

I have as well, so I stopped using Amazon. Getting good timely delivery of fraudulent, misidentified and damaged goods does not compensate for the fraudulent, misidentified and damaged goods. I have had better customer service from a corpse and a corpse always meets my expectations.

Not recently, but I have purchased stamps from them about a year ago. They arrived with no issues. Maybe with the holiday weekend they are closed or even extended the time off.

I had been waiting for 4 days, so I am not sure that waiting a few more hours made too much sense. But of course it did!
