These appear to be Scotts #65. I would guess that this has a value, on this somewhat distressed cover somewhere between $5 to $10, maybe a little more to someone interested in Illinois postal history.
Could be the 1861 issue or the 1867 (even 1875 re-issue), can't really tell from the picture. Depending on which one, and which color variant (both issues have several), this cover could be a few dollars or many thousands. No way for anyone here to know for certain, though.
Interesting thank you. Let's say one of you would like to list it for sale on eBay, or any other website. For how much would you sell it for? I would like to sell it, I believe that the right collector would love to have it for himself. What are my options? I can't take it for philatelic pro. Israel's philatelic society deals, especially with Israeli postage stamps. So what can I do?
I see no evidence of a grills, so the stamps are most likely Scott #65. Pinckneyville does not appear to be a scare town marking. Given the damage to the stamps, I doubt you could get more than $1 or $2 for the cover. After postage and seller fees, I doubt you would net more than a few cents.
This cover is in poor condition, both stamps appear to be faulty and the town is not a discontinued post office so not particularly scarce, so likely this is a $1-2 cover at best, as some others have opined.
