I have inherited a collection, sadly. I just started looking through things and it seems these may be somewhat special? There are so many things on the internet, I cannot make any sense of it all. I came to you here, as you would surely know. I thank you in advance for your guidance. There are two 4 packs of them. Perfect condition. Help?

EPM, Welcome to the forum. The stamp you show is probably a very common one, and it looks like it came out of a booklet pane. This particular value was the workhorse of the post office at one time, billions were printed. https://www.google.com/search?clien...Frank_ID.htm. takes you to a site that can be used to ID your stamp

Peter

When you say "4 Packs" do you mean 4 connected stamps, or 4 connected stamps with an attached number?

Thanks for the quick responses. They are 4 connected stamps. One of the 4 has smooth sides on two sides, the other 4 has all perforated sides. No attached numbers.

Also, PeterT, thank you for the welcome to the community. It is overwhelming, several thousand stamps and I have no idea where to begin. I will look for a dealer/collector in my area I guess. Thanks, again! Best Eric.

Eric, there are multiple websites where you can get an idea of what you have and the relative price. There is Stamp Smarter, Swedish Tiger, Mystic Stamps, etc. where you can find what you have and get an idea of at least the catalog value. For the tough ones with Watermarks and secret marks, you can put them to the side for the time being. For the really tough ones, just post them on this site and people can point you in the right direction. People on this site love the challenge.
