Today, SCF member Papy24 has published an illustrated article on foreign intaglio presses used outside France on his http://blog-impressions-timbrees.blogspot.com/ . His French easily translates into English on https://www.deepl.com/en/translator except for a couple of technical terms such as marger that can be looked up on https://www.larousse.fr/dictionnair...marger/49439 .

Like many admirers of 20th century engraved stamps of French provenance created by notable designers and master engravers (many of whom were one and the same person) and - last but not least - by master printers operating three-colour intaglio rotary printing machines "Chambon" TD-3,

I owe Papy 24 a debt of gratitude for his reliable, very accurately formulated and most generous information on such topics as:

French intaglio presses ( http://blog-impressions-timbrees.bl...ot.com/2017/ )
Differences in engraving ( http://blog-impressions-timbrees.bl...gravure.html )
Three-colour intaglio rotary presses "Chambon" TD-3 ( http://blog-impressions-timbrees.bl...une-td3.html )
Colour flaws in TD 3 ( http://blog-impressions-timbrees.bl...e-douce.html , http://blog-impressions-timbrees.bl...e-douce.html , http://blog-impressions-timbrees.bl...ouleurs.html )
Missing colour in TD-3 ( http://blog-impressions-timbrees.bl...com/2014/04/ )
Multi-colour "Camaïeu" TD-3 printings ( http://blog-impressions-timbrees.bl...com/2016/01/ )
Six-colour intaglio rotary press TD-6 (3 colours in indirect intaglio, 3 in direct intaglio) ( http://blog-impressions-timbrees.bl...ouleurs.html )
Nine-colour intaglio rotary press TD-9 ( http://blog-impressions-timbrees.bl...ouleurs.html )
The intaglio is no more what it used to be ( http://blog-impressions-timbrees.bl...st-plus.html )

Many thanks Papy24. Much much obliged. All the best!

Florián
