Greece 2022 Geoparks Sitia Geopark is located on the eastern edge of Crete. This area comprises mostly fossiliferous Plio-Pleistocene sedimentary rocks and is known for its karstic caves, dramatic gorges and craggy coastline. Psiloritis Geopark is located in central Crete. This area comprises a great variety of volcanic, sedimentary and metamorphic rocks aging from Permian to Pleistocene. The stamp depicts outcrops of the eroded limestone formation on a plateau. Lesvos Geopark is located on the island of Lesvos in the NE Aegean Sea, close to the Turkish coast. It features a petrified forest created by volcanic activity during early Miocene. The stamp shows two standing tree trunks filled with silicate minerals.    |

Spain 2022 World Heritage Site Garajonay National Park is located on La Gomera, one of the Canary Islands created by the Canary hotspot in the North Atlantic Ocean. The minisheet features the prominent Roque de Agando, a phonolite volcanic plug formed 5.1 million years ago.  |

Italy 1999 Tourism The earth pyramids at Segonzano is located halfway up the Cembra valley cut by Avisio river. They are the erosional remnant of large moraine deposits formed by Quaternary glaciation. The conglomerate pyramids were preserved due to the presence of rock caps on their tops.  |

Serbia 2008 European Nature Protection Djavolja Varos on the southern slopes of Radan Mountain is a tuff formation created by Neogene volcanism in the Mediterranean Sea region. The tuff formation is covered with a dark andesitic lava flow, whose stronger parts have survived erosion and preserved the tuff pillars below.  |

The platform was faulted and thrusted due to collision between the Sardinia-Corsica microplate and the northern edge of the African continental margin, starting from early Miocene.  |

Ukraine 2017 Beauty and Greatness of Ukraine - Zhytomyr Region Chatsky Head is located on the left bank of Teterev River near the city of Zhytomyr. The natural sculpture was carved from a Precambrian granite formation of the Ukrainian Shield during the Quaternary Ice Age.  |

Liechtenstein 2022 Mountain Panorama Drei Kapuziner (elevation 2084 m) is a peak in the Western Rhaetian Alps mountain range of the Central Eastern Alps. This Triassic limestone outcrop is part of the Austroalpine nappes, fragments of the Adriatic Plate which were thrusted and uplifted during Alpine orogeny (65 to 2 million years ago).  |

Germany 2012 National Parks and Nature Reserves Jasmund National Park on the northeast coast of Rügen island is known for its large sea cliffs up to 160 m above the Baltic Sea. The cliffs comprise a fine-grained, highly porous chalk formation deposited during Late Cretaceous. The coastline is changing due to erosion and the collapse of outcrops into the sea.  |

Italy 2021 Treasures of the Alta Murgia National Park Pulo di Altamura is a doline located on the Murge plateau, a large Cretaceous limestone outcrop in the Apulia region. It has a diameter of 500 m and a depth of 75 m. Rainwater action on heavily fractured limestone bodies created this and other dolines on the plateau.  |

Turkey 2022 Canyons Incesu Canyon is located in the Central Anatolian province of Corum. The 12 km long canyon was created by Cekerek River cutting through Jurassic-Cretaceous limestone of the Sakarya Terrane. Bright orange patches of iron oxide on the cliff face were formed by leaching of iron-rich minerals in the rock.  |
