Hi again. I found in the back of an album a large Postal Strike 1970 Cinderella. Obviously put there from new so in perfect condition.

Not sure if anyone collects these but I found it interesting. I wont keep it but thought I would share.

Unlisted in Catalogue of British Postal Strike Stamps.
Gerald Rosen

Listed in Bird Bear press (1st Edition)
Catalogue CC5610
Page 158
Produced apparently for posting US mail in Toronto
so it could be forwarded to US post offices in the West, whom were not on strike.

NOTE
You have what seems to be a printing variety, "with a white dot, left side background"

Albeit, slightly differing position, which may indicate just an inking problem, or a perf chad.

Item:
Possibly a philatelic fabrication
Doubt exists as a genuine strike label

May I forward your scan to Mr Lafreniere, (Bird Bear Press) for his interest please ?

Excellent and please feel free to share. The missing "pixel" does appear to be in the printing and I thought it could be a variety. Unlikely that this is not genuine as it was in a small collection of Newfoundland and Canada stamps with a few pieces. The latest date in the pack was 1973 so likely was put away and sat there till now. There are one or two others I will post if anyone is interested. Thanks again for the information

Thanks Will,
Mr. Lafreniere has accepted this as a new variety, and may possibly include in his latest (and last Catalogue) (My Guess)

Hi I would be happy to send it to him if he would like to examine it or photograph it for his reference work. Let me know. I posted two other common cindarellas in the regular thread. One a Christmas 52 pair and the other a Canada Trust Save our Streams - both used but were not part of the cancellation.
