If you take a look at the using period, you will see, that the Hintz Factory in Berlin started using it in 1912. But the swastika became the official sign of the Nazi Party not until 1920.
I remember a Swiss perfin as well showing a swastika - without any political intention. So it's "normal", yes! Just a symbol (like stars, anchors, elephants or whatever) used by the company to distinguish themselves from others.
