Spent the morning mounting some better Iranian Stamps I discovered in a bulk lot I purchased ages ago. Stamps from the mid 1940s that were each cataloged at $20, 30, 40, 50, and up to $175. Got them mounted in a sheet and scanned them front and back. Got ready to list them on eBay. That's when I learned that one cannot sell anything from IRAN due to the embargo, even if the stamps were issued well before the current embargo. Rats.

Try listing under "Middle East" or something similar - the sort of work-around for Cuban stamps, which become "Central America" or "Spanish Antilles".

edudpmats,

Collecting for the enjoyment of collecting, whatever that might be, is the name of the game. Don't hesitate to ask questions especially if you need basic information and especially more advanced sources of information for any possible topic. You should be able to find folks on this board a little further along on their collecting journey glad to share experiences. Russ
