On November 3, 2020 Jersey issued a six-stamp set featuring "Legends of Jersey - Tales from the Sea". The 88p value (Sc #2364) of this set shows a dishonest "wrecker" with a lantern, from the tale Spanish Ship on the Rocks.

The story concerns "wreckers" who lure ships onto the rocks with lanterns during violent storms so that the wreckage and cargo may be salvaged. In this case, the captain of the last ship in a fleet of five wrecked vessels put a curse on the wreckers. A year later when the wreckers went to shore to celebrate the anniversary of their ill-gotten gains, they were all washed out to sea by a tidal wave.
