This Slovenia 1996 Cultural Heritage stamp shows a 16th century lamp on gallows from Tržic museum. This lamp, lighted by candle or kerosene, is surrounded by water-filled glass spheres to illuminate the work table.  |

This lamp is shown in relation to petroleum, but by now (64 years after the stamp) there are alternative source of green oil to light this up, I guess? Canada 1958  |

Once the green oil is sorted for my lamp, I would follow Moomin trolls's joy in light and shadow. By the way, what is the light source of the round object in the last stamp, do you think? In Ukraine cities people are constantly having power-cut during their critical operations. The back-up system doesn't last long, when you need intensive light for precision works.
