There is a new online store comming soon at Post-Canada. Their website is promoting a new redesigned store opening on September 19. Glad to hear this and hope this time they will take the opportunity to advertise their upcoming merchandise in advance. Any improuvement is welcome for sure.
Oh boy, we shall see if that holds water as I will not hold my breath wishing that. Probably a way to eliminate more employees from the call centre. Borrowing a late night show hosts line: "Meanwhile" - They just increased the shipping rates on almost everthing to anywhere, on September 14. They contracted out some mail pickup/delivery to a different contractor and asked the current union employees to apply for the jobs with new employer, but at a lower pay rate. Possibly the same company they raised the price of their services to be on par with. Nice way to recognize the union employees and loyal employee and start a labour dispute! Of course being unionized they will grieve it. Two new stamp issues this month have been postponed till a later date. We seldom ever get advance notice of new issues and they are rarely ever in the post office on issue date. They moved several mailboxes in my local community, without informing them of when and where they were going to be relocated. If only simple common sense would be used, before any actions were implemented.
Since last week, post-canada started installing new pan-canadian terminals, these are now equipped with a function that no longer allows items to be sold before their official release date, I had the new booklet for sept 20 in hand today but the terminal said "sale not authorized" I will have to wait until Monday for the new booklet.
Hope the new philatelic website will make sense, for now it just keeps going downhill (my personal point of view)
