I have two empty Scott two post albums. I would like to create stamp pages and use the two albums, but can't find a paper punch to correctly allow a proper use of the albums. Any suggestions?

A local machine shop can make you one.

Thanks, Don, but I was hoping to find a commercially made punch. There should be one for these old Scott albums.

Understood, I have looked over the years and never found one (am assuming you mean the square post Nationals). If you mean the two post round Internationals, I think you can use a three hole adjustable punch by removing one of the punches.

I had a set of Scott National albums for South America, and looked in vain for a single- punch capable of making the rectangular holes. I think you can get close with the commercially available punches, but it could be expensive trial-and-error.

I suspected as much, but thank you for your responses. Rick T.

Have a machine shop make one, use it for your needs, then rent it out?

Brilliant! A "Cottage Industry" in the truest sense#129315;, right here in rural Nevada.

Have you checked with any local print shops to see if they can punch them for you at a reasonable price? Many years ago, I had a print shop cut card-stock for me in a odd over-sized dimension for a special project at work and they punched 6 (round) holes to spec. on the 27" paper height.

A well equipped shop might be able to do custom rectangular holes? Don't know until you ask.

Scott's putting rectangular holes on loose leaf pages seems a little too much like "mill housing and company store" mentality for my taste.

If going to a local machine shop doesn't pan out for you. This has worked for me. I have an adjustable three hole punch from staples where the center hole punch can be removed and replaced with a screwdriver at will. Then I just measure the distance between the centers of a known good page set the punch and start making my holes.

You can also buy blank Scott pages which are pre-punched, I use style "C" - blank, with a border ...

Shakey - I think you're talking about a punch producing circular, not rectangular, holes. The near-rectangular ones I found were mainly designed for punching items to hang on shop display racks.

Rick T, maybe you can use a slot hole punch designed to make holes for badges and ID cards. The hole is 4 mm x 15 mm; I don't have a Scott's album in front of me to check but seems to be fairly close.

There are a lot of punches that are adjustable. Just put it where you need it and it should do the job. Something like this:
