I think what sets the valuable one apart is the text on the second line is smaller than the top line. Yours looks like the same font both lines. My 2016 Scotts catalogue doesn't even list a RE196d. Maybe a newer discovery?
I was offered $275 from a local dealer that I like - here's a brief summary of what's there:
6 stamps in Documentary 1953 6 stamps in Stock Transfer 50 in the 1941 Wine 7 stamps in the Butter 3 stamps in 1953 Cigar 6 stamps in 1954 Cigar and maybe 25 or so of the long tobacco stamps.
Take it or shop it more?
PS - I realize it's hard to say without seeing the actual collection but given your experience and the laws-of-average that these are run-of-the-mill stamps and that I probably don't have anything of stupidly high value here, is this a decent offer?
