Man, this brings back memories. I too bought the orange H.E. Harris bags as a kid back in the 1970s.
In the late 1990s, my local stamp dealer purchased at a Texas marshall's auction several metal drawers full of sealed old-stock packets of stamps from the presumably 1940s-1950s, all the same brand/type. He only got the first half of the alphabet and ultimately lamented not bidding higher for the other half. There was some wonderful material in there, not just common "packet grade" material. At the time there were stamps cataloging into the hundreds of dollars sprinkled throughout. We had a field day going through them. I still have a box full of them somewhere (subsequently opened for initial searching) that I still haven't done anything with. I'll see if I can find a few to scan.
